FROM THE HEART OF YOUR PASTOR

"Revival will come when the Local Church wakes up to its potential!"

I am sure someone will get tired of hearing me making this statement or referring to it,
but it is one of those statements I extremely believe in. Let me share with you why I believe in it so strongly with a few points.

1. The Local Church is the Bride of Christ!
Ephesians 5:25-27
"Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless."

I am afraid the Local Church, in many cases, has lost its sense of identity. The Local Church should be excited about the Wedding Day as a new bride looks forward to that big day. But the Church He is coming back for will be a radiant church, without stain or wrinkly or any other blemish.

2.The Local Church Meets Needs

Matthew 28:18-20 "The King will reply, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me"

If we would dare to take a look around us and see the needs both physical and spiritual of our brothers and sisters, it could change our focus. Remember the compassion Jesus had as he saw the crowd like sheep without a shepherd. We need to be seeing through the eyes of Jesus and the hardness of our hearts will be broken.

3. The Local Church is God's Choice to Reach the World.
Matthew 28:18-20 "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Yes, it seems to be an overwhelming task, but "God does not call you to where His Grace will not keep you."

I thank God for the task He has put before us as a Church, and we can and must trust Him to meet our needs to accomplish the mission.

The way I see it, these are only three of a long list of potentials the Local Church needs to wake up to , but the number one thing we must realize is "THE LOCAL CHURCH BELONGS TO GOD"

TEEN NEWS
I would to take this opportunity to say "Thank You" to this wonderful Church family for your support and encouragement to our Teens. Our Teen group is active and growing because of your love, support and prayers. It is good to know we have such a supportive family, with a need is presented you always come through.

PLEASE NOTE
March 16-19. We have revival services planned with Dr. David Downs speaking to us. I challenge you to be fasting and praying for these services. The Holy Spirit has been present in our services for the last few Sundays, but we need Him more and more as we see the day of His return fast approaching.

March 23, We have a Baptism service on the schedule. If you are one that would like to participate in this service to show what God has done for you, please let Pastor Berry know. It is always good to have friends and family present for a special time as this.

March 30, is the fifth Sunday of this quarter, so we will be celebrating with the partaking of the Lord's Supper. Then the evening service will be a Singspiration and Testimonies.

Serving you,
Pastor Terry Berry
